Dairy Princess Visits EE 2nd Grade

Posted on March 11, 2016, in Academics

The Erie County Dairy Princess, who is also one of two Pennsylvania Dairy Princess alternates, came to Edinboro Elementary today to teach students about fueling up with chocolate milk (and the dairy industry).

Lydia Szymanski presented to two different groups of second graders. Her presentation included a five-minute skit, followed by a movement game where students answered questions with movements to get active. Following the game, students asked her questions and then fueled up with some chocolate milk.

Szymanski was among 28 county dairy princesses from throughout the state who competed in the three-day competition in September. Dairy Princesses are selected across Pennsylvania to serve as a spokeswomen for the local dairy industry, its milk story and its products.
