Edinboro Elementary School was recognized as a 2017-18 Title I Distinguished School by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division of Federal Programs. Edinboro Elementary is one of only 123 schools in the state to receive this honor.

Edinboro Elementary School was selected as a Reward High Achievement School for the 2016-17 school year, meaning Edinboro Elementary is part of the highest 5% of Title I schools based on ELA and Math proficiency. In addition, Edinboro Elementary met all Annual Measurable Objectives (AMOs), which included test participation, graduation rate, closing the achievement gap for all students and closing the achievement gap for the historically underperforming students.

All distinguished schools will be honored at the 2018 Title I Improving Schools’ Performance Conference, held January 28-21 at the Sheraton Station Square in Pittsburgh. All of these schools are eligible to be chosen as Pennsylvania’s National Title I Distinguished School. National Title I Distinguished Schools will be honored at the National Title I Conference in Philadelphia in February 2018.

Congratulations to Edinboro Elementary’s staff and students on this achievement!
