Each Friday, we will feature an employee in the District so you can get to know the amazing individuals that work for General McLane School District!

This week, we are featuring James W. Parker Middle School’s Nancy Elizabeth Wilkinson, who has worked for the District for 39 years.

Prior to working at General McLane, she attended college and worked part time in the Campus Book Store at Edinboro State College. In the summers, she worked as a playground supervisor.  Outside of working at JWPMS, Mrs. Wilkinson plays the piano for High Street Community Church each Sunday and enjoys spending time with her five wonderful grandchildren.

What is your favorite thing about your job?
I enjoy helping students find the importance and joy in language and reading.

Why do you enjoy being part of the GM family?
Our staff enjoys and values making student learning a priority.

What is your favorite work-related memory?
I remember how we used to take nine buses of sixth graders to Sea World for their educational day and then to McDonald’s on the way home. It was a great field trip day each year!
