GM Principal Finalist in Perry200 PerryBurns Contest

General McLane’s Jason Buto was a finalist in the 2013 Perry200 PerryBurns contest Wednesday night. The JWPMS Associate Principal and District Curriculum coordinator was among 19 contestants who grew sideburns in attempt to look like those of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry’s. Mr. Buto, who represented the General McLane Foundation, grew his in two months.  His father won the contest during the Perry Sesquicentennial Celebration.

A Lake City resident was selected as the overall winner of the Perry 200 Commemoration’s Perry Burns contest. The winner received a trophy and $300 for his designated 501 (c) (3) charity.
