General McLane School Directors were recognized at the monthly Board Meeting on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.

Together, our General McLane School Board of Directors have over 79 years of service to General McLane School District. Members include Mr. James Bucskbee (29 years), Mrs. Carrie Crow (3 years), Mrs. Amy Eisert (2 years), Mrs. Deb Greenleaf (6 years), Dr. Annette Rilling (3 years), Dr. Timothy Wise (31 years), Mrs. Shari Gould (.75 years) and Dr. Kahan Sablo (.5 years).

Pennsylvania School Boards Association declared January as School Director Recognition Month, a time to recognize the contributions of public school board members. The theme for this year is “Stronger School Boards. Stronger Schools. Stronger Pennsylvania.”

School directors generously contribute their time and talents toward the advancement of public education. They establish policies that provide the framework for our public schools. They represent their local communities and attend sometimes lengthy and challenging meetings, conferences and institutes for professional learning and under- standing of public education.

These dedicated volunteers reside in our community. They are our friends, neighbors, community leaders, parents and engaged senior citizens. Although communities make a special effort to show appreciation to school directors in January, their contribution is a year-round commitment, and deep appreciation is extended to them always.
