The 2012 PenSPRA “Excellence in Education Communication” contest awarded General McLane School District an Award of Honor for both their school website and their social media campaign.

Judging is conducted by a panel of independent professionals. All website site entries were judged on general appearance, ease of navgation, layout and design, link integrity and how effectively a message is communicated to the target audience. All social media entries were judged on link integrity and how effectively a message is communicated to the audience.

The Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association (PenSPRA) provides members and non-members an opportunity to win awards in the annual Excellence in Education Communications Contest. The Award of Excellence is given out to the top entries in each category. The Award of Honor is given out to entries that deserve recognition, but did not a receive a score that was high enough for an Award of Excellence.
