General McLane School District welcomes twelve new teachers and ten new employees to the District this year. Throughout the week, we will be introducing many of them!

Mr. Jeff Tyree is the District’s new Mental Health Liaison. A graduate of Ringgold High School (Monongahela, PA), Mr. Tyree has served as a mental health professional for 16 years. He previously worked with the district for three years as a Mental Health Liaison through the Achievement Center. Prior to that, Mr. Tyree held various positions within the Achievement Center, Stairways Behavioral Health and Safe Harbor Behavioral Health. He graduated from Edinboro University with his Bachelor’s in Speech Communication and earned two Master’s in Sociology and School Counseling from Edinboro University. Mr. Tyree is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC).

A big sports fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and L.A. Lakers, Mr. Tyree enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids.  He previously served as a Track Coach at Central Tech and volunteers with General McLane’s Boys Basketball program.

His Motto: “Surround yourself with good people and be better today than you were yesterday.”
