Introducing McKean’s Miss Geraci!

Posted on August 24, 2017, in Academics

General McLane School District welcomes twelve new teachers and ten new employees to the District this year. Throughout the week, we will be introducing many of them!

Brenda Geraci will be a first grade teacher at McKean Elementary School. Geraci was with McKean Elementary School last year serving as an AmeriCorps member and previously worked at the Growing and Learning Center. Geraci graduated Magna Cum Laude from Edinboro University with dual-certification in Early Childhood and Special Education. While at Edinboro, Geraci was the president of BOROeyc, an affiliate of the national Association for Education of Young Children.

Originally from Cleveland, Geraci has lived here for about five years and is happy to call Edinboro her home now.

“I am looking forward to watching a group of students grow and achieve great things throughout the school year, as well as growing as an educator myself,” Geraci said. “I am so happy to be apart of the General McLane School District!”

In addition to starting her career at McKean Elementary School, Miss Geraci is also planning a wedding! The new teacher will be getting married in the summer of July 2018.
