JWPMS Students Host Afternoon Tea

James W. Parker Middle School’s students held their first ever Afternoon Tea, where they invited their family and friends to an afternoon of tea, coffee and a spread of sandwiches and desserts.

“We decided to host the Afternoon Tea because the students wanted to showcase all of their abilities to their parents and principals,” said middle school Life Skills Support teacher Tanis Plouse. “They did every little thing for the afternoon Tea.”

Students prepared the food and drinks, set the tables and created centerpieces and also took the orders for their guests. After the lunch, students invited their guests back to their classrooms.

This was a project of the Life Skill Support and Autistic Support Classroom. In the past, the students hosted a Thanksgiving dinner.

The Afternoon Tea is expected to be an annual event. For more pictures from this event, please visit the Featured Photos Page.
