JWPMS Teacher Receives Golden Apple Award

Posted on February 12, 2014, in Academics, Events

James W. Parker Middle School Language Arts teacher Tim Mulholland was awarded the Golden Apple Award last week.

The GOLDEN APPLE AWARD program is a tradition at JET-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania.  JET-TV, in partnership with Edinboro University,  honors local educators who have made a positive impact upon the youth of our community. Students submit written nominations explaining why they are nominating a teacher. Each week during the school year, JET-TV visits an area school to announce the winner.

JWPMS students Allison Kruatter and Abby Raun nominated Mulholland, who will be retiring at the end of the school year after 33 years of service within the District. Mulholland also serves as the Middle School Wrestling Coach.

Every Wednesday, the weekly winner is featured in a special story on Action News24 at 6:00 p.m., and the story airs again on Thursday mornings on Action News 24 between 5:30 and 7:00 a.m.

Congrats to Mr. Mulholland and JWPMS for this honor!
