McKean Elementary School hosted their Science Fair on Friday night. The event was packed with activities and displays for McKean students, families and friends.

All fourth grade projects are displayed. Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade had the opportunity to participate and could create a project of their choice to have on display.

Outside of the student-created projects, there were a variety of other activities and demonstrations.

The Erie Reptile Expo’s Trisha Voltz showed many exotic reptiles and animals.

The Tamarack Wildlife Center brought their live birds of prey for an up-close and personal experience.

Mr. Hutch & Miss Marnik hosted a  Camp Invention challenge to give a teaser of what is to come in the 2017 Camp Invention Program.

Students from Edinboro University’s CHAOS showed off their science demonstrations and models.

Gannon’s Biological Honor Society, Tri Beta, gave students the opportunity to cheek cells under a microscope, play an anatomy game, and trick the brain into thinking an apple tastes like vanilla.

Guests from LECOM and the Anna Shelter were also present.

The event was sponsored by McKean’s PTA and organized by McKean teachers.
