McKean Giving Tree Donations Hit New High

During its third year in place, the McKean Elementary Giving Tree raised a new high in donations, with a total of 181 donations. Donations include one coat, 74 hats, 91 gloves, four scarves and one pair of boots. The school will donated half of the items to the Mercy Center for Women in Erie and the other half to the Social Concerns Committee at Thrifty Threads in Edinboro. Gently-used items went to the school nurse.
