McKean students use MLK Day to discuss diversity

Posted on January 23, 2019, in Academics

Yesterday, McKean Elementary School second graders discussed Dr. Martin Luther King and his message through a little “Egg Experiment”. Students discussed the concept of diversity through a brown egg and a white egg . When students cracked them open, they were the same. Students explained what they could learn when they compared this lesson to people.

Students related this idea to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s message about diversity and inclusion.
