GMHS has Heart!

General McLane High School will be hosting its first “RED OUT” on November 1 during school and its football game against Cathedral Prep that night.

The Lancers will compete against Prep in a fun, competition to see which school can raise the most money for the American Heart Association. Cathedral Prep will be having a “WHITE OUT” at their school on the same day.

Student Council will be selling t-shirts for $10 and red paper hearts for $1 all this week. The paper hearts will be placed on a memorial wall to show support for the American Heart Association and for all of the Lancers’ family and friends that have been affected by Heart Disease.

On Friday, the entire District will have a “Red Out” and students, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear red to school and to the Varsity football game against Prep.

Anyone interested in donating should contact Nicole McFadden, Student Council Advisor, at General McLane High School. She can be reached via e-mail at nicolemcfadden@generalmclane.org. The shirts and paper hearts will be sold during the HS lunches. If students outside of the High School wish to purchase a shirt or heart, please stop by  or contact the GMHS office at x1900.
