ST Math in the Classrooms

There’s a new friend to the District this year – JiJi!

JiJi madeĀ an appearance through a highly advanced software program by the Mind Research Institute called Spatial Temporal Math, or ST Math.

This program, which was new to all students in grades K-6, uses the video-game approach to help teach math concepts to students, who receive no written instruction on how to play or beat each level. Once they complete the level, JiJi the penguin moves across the screen.

Teachers assign the games based on what they are teaching in the class. Children move through the program at their own pace and can continue to use ST Math at home.

So far, students have given great feedback and love the game!
