Edinboro Elementary third graders started “The Estimation Jar” game this past week. Mrs. Hutchison fills the jar with an item and the students have one week to make only one estimation of a number of items they believe are inside. The student with the closest estimation wins the items inside.

The winner shares with the students and takes home the leftovers. Then, the winner gets to refill the jar with an item of their choice (food or not), and the process continues.

Sean Dexter was the first winner — he estimated that there were 320 pieces of candy corn in the jar and the actual amount was 348 pieces.

Good job Sean!
