JET-TV senior meteorologist Tom DiVecchio visited the entire fourth grade at McKean Elementary School on Wednesday. DiVecchio answered the students’ questions during his visit, which coincided with the fourth grade weather unit. Some items he discussed include storms, hail, why Erie gets more snow, the worst storm in Erie history (tornado outbreak of 1985), how wind forms and how he knows where to point on the green screen.

DiVecchio has more than 28 years weather forecasting experience in the Erie and eastern Great Lakes region.
