The winners of the design contest for General McLane High School’s General’s Store were announced yesterday.

Junior Erik Andrzejewski’s design will be printed on t-shirts and sold at the school store, and junior Nick Renick’s design was selected to be printed on sweatshirts.

Students in Mrs. Hodas’ Graphic Design II class all designed t-shirts for this project, and Mrs. Bentley’s Retail Management class voted and selected the winners.

Graphic Design II is a continuation of the concepts learned in Graphic Design I that challenges students to take their digital art creation to the more advanced level.

Retail Management is nine-week business elective offered to sophomores, juniors and seniors. This course applies classroom theory to the actual operation of the store. Students assume full responsibility for the entire operation of the store – advertising and promotions, accounting, merchandising, inventory, pricing, purchasing, scheduling and selling.

Students will get a shirt with their design on it, and both designs will be coming soon to the General’s Store.
