Writing in Science Class

General McLane students are writing across the curriculum — not just in Language Arts classes!

James W. Parker Middle School students completed a Literacy Writing initiative in Science class this week. Students in Mrs. Santos class read a passage on Newton’s Laws of Motion and then wrote their own thesis statement from a question. They then listed evidence from the text, organized paragraphs from the course outline map and then finally wrote the rough copy and final copy.

Way to go!
