GMHS Students Advance to State Journalism Competition

Juniors Hannah Wyman, McKenah Bryson and Sabrina McCain placed first in the Student Journalism Competition held this month at Penn State Behrend in Erie, Pa.

The competition was part of a day-long event where students engage in journalism seminars held by Penn State Behrend faculty and compete in “Write-Off” competitions held in a variety of disciplines.

Wyman placed for News Writing, Bryson for Feature Writing and McCain for Editorial Cartoon.

All three will advance to the State competition held at University Park in the Spring, and will compete again against the winners from the other six regional competitions held at satelline Penn State campuses.
