Two GM graduates win welding awards

Two General McLane High School graduates won prizes for their welding projects they created while in school this past spring.
Students who use any welding processes in the high school’s metal classes can submit their project write-ups to the James F. Lincoln Foundation Welding Awards Program, which is a non-profit through Lincoln Electric based in Cleveland, Ohio.
Keaton Bryson was awarded silver for a twin/queen sized bunk bed he created. He won a prize of $250 for his creation.

Jacob Janoski was awarded bronze for a decorative fire pit and he received a $100 prize. Both students were seniors working with Mr. Nick Basko at the High School.
The award program consists of four regions. Region 1 is Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Washington D.C.
